What is a book club set?
Book Club sets allow groups to borrow multiple copies of a book. Each set comes with 8 or more copies.
Who can borrow a book club set?
Book club sets can be borrowed by any local book club. The set will be checked out on the library card of the person picking up the set. Copies can also be picked up individually by members and checked out on their library cards. Each member is responsible for returning their copy on time and paying for damaged or lost items.
How can I reserve a book club set?
With more than 300 titles available to Book Clubs to borrow, groups can explore the entire collection on our online catalogue. To place holds on a set, Book Clubs will need to contact their local branch.
How long is the checkout period?
Book Club Sets have a 3-week loan period and can only be renewed once by library staff if there are no other bookings on a set.
Where can I return the set?
Book Club sets should be returned to the Branch they were borrowed from so staff know when all copies have been returned.
What if one of the books is missing?
While the Huron County Library has gone fine free on all overdue materials, lost or damaged materials will be charged to the patron that has checked out the item.
