ABOUT THE AUTHOR: Kathleen Coughlin Dunn is a Montrealer and a frequent visitor to Bayfield where she loves to spend time with her Dunn family and friends. Widowed at 64, this one-time public relations writer turned to poetry and process art to come to terms with the strong emotions surfacing in her very vivid night dreams. Over a 15-year period, she was amazed how much she could say with so few words. Along the way, and to mark her 70th birthday in 2013, she walked part of the Camino de Santiago de Compostela in Northern Spain. Much to her surprise, she also walked into a new life with fellow pilgrim and long-time friend Nick, also widowed. Sadly he, too, has since passed away. Not one to rest on her laurels, Kathleen decided to mark her 80th birthday by self-publishing her poetry. With hindsight, insight, and foresight, Second Chances delves into the ups and downs of Kathleen’s life which she hopes will resonate with readers. Her reading on July 18th will focus on the poetry which arose from her dreams.
